Christmas 2009

Christmas with the Pearce's

We had a wonderful Christmas this year.
Our lives are not like most, so things are different.
Danny had to work in the cane fields as always.
Rebecca was with her mother for the morning and lunch.
Lil Danny was working at the dairy and with his girlfriend.
Nicole was at home with me.
My Dad went to see my Mom and then came ate lunch with Nicole and I.
I spent the morning in the kitchen cooking turkey, ham, dressing, etc.
That evening, we were all together though to end the day.
The girls took Christmas pictures by the tree.

We had a wonderful evening with our family at Granny & Poppie's house.
All the grandkids and great grandbaby was there.
Of course, the new baby was the highlight of the night.

We were all thankful for having a loving family to spend the day with.
We also are thankful for Jesus Christ's being born on this day for us.
Merry Christmas 2009.

The Pearce's First Christmas

Our First Christmas
We are all settled into our home and now is
the time to celebrate Christmas.
We have a beautiful tree that lights up our home.
The top has a beautiful angel that watchs over us.
The middle has lots of lights and decorations.
The decorations are from lots of years.
Each one of the kids has decorations from different years
and different people.
Under the tree will be gifts for the ones we love.
The best and most valuable gift will not be placed under the tree.
Because it came from up above.
The birth of our Lord and Savior who died for us,
is the greatest gift a person could ever receive.
May everyone we know and love have a
Blessed and Merry Christmas.

A Calf needs a home

Meet Hercuiles

He was born on Dec. 13, 2009, but he would not nurse.

After 2 days of trying to get his mother to feed him, with no luck.

We took him home to take care of him.

He was wet and cold, so we dried him off.

Then we took him to a warm place.

Yes, what better place to wam up then a kitchen floor.

Of course, our dog Betty was not too crazy about that.

Warm milk will also warm you up on the inside.

What a surprise when Nicole got home from school.

Now he will live in our barn, so that we can feed and care for him.

50 years of marriage

"50 years of marriage"

On Dec. 12, 2009, my in-laws celebrated their 50th annivesary.

We had the kids, grandkids and great-grandbaby over

for some great tasting GUMBO.

Then it was present time which was a great time.

Poppie as we call him, gave Grannie a beautiful new ring.

He also asked him to marry him again.

Of course, this brought tears to us all.

The night was full of laugher, and tears.

This year has been a hard year on the Peare family.

We had the loss of Ranny, which we are all still dealing with.

But we also now have a new Pearce, with Ranny's granddaughter.

Rannie Michelle was born right before Thanksgiving.

The family wishes Poppie and Grannie many more years together.

Happy 50th Anniversary.

Wild Boars on the Ranch

There is never a dull moment in our lives. Danny went to check his cows on the ranch. He not only saw his cows running around in circles. He saw a WILD BOAR in the middle of the cows.

For those who don't know: cows and boars do not get along. You don't want boars on your place.

Danny and my Dad shot it in the field. It weighed 180#'s, which is 180 lbs. too much for my book.
Of course, Nicole was all excited that she got to see a wild boar. NO, we did not clean it and eat it. There are some people who would, but not us.

Hopefully he will be the only one for this place.

The Mom of the Family- Trina

It is not easy telling about myself. But I will try to let you know who I am. I am a stay at home Mom. Which does not mean that I stay at home all the time. For anyone who is a stay at home Mom, knows some days you are never home. I am a volleyball, basketball, softball, etc Mom.

I run kids to practice, games, friends houses, etc. But I enjoy every minute of it. Because I know that one day they will be grown and not need me to do things for them.

God blessed me with a wonderful, loving husband/friend and 3 wonderful kids. I love each one of them for special reasons.

I help Danny with whatever he needs help with and I can help. I love do things with him and the kids.

When I have spare time, I love to sew and embroidery. Even though this year I have not had time to do that, but I am looking forward to getting back into it soon. I embroidery things for fun, friends, to sell and for gifts.

I also love living in the country and being around the cows and animals. I enjoy being a Mom and taking care of my family. My husband and kids are my life. I thank God every day for them and to keep them safe.

Lil Danny Our Son

Lil Danny the Senior and ready to move on into the big world. He is non-stop doing something. Of course, it maybe sitting playing a video game. Or it could be hunting, fishing or talking about them at least.
He is working his way through college at LSU. He works at the LSU Dairy, feeding and milking cows there. He is going to college for Dairy Science.
He also loves to pick on the girls. Sometimes he gets the best of them, but they do get the best of him sometimes also. He also has a girlfriend that we all love and enjoy having around. We all gang up on him when they are around.
We are both very proud of him. I may not be his biological mother, but I could not love him more if he was my own son. I am very proud of him and love him very much.

Nicole & Her Ways

When I think of Nicole, I think of animals and toys. This girl loves animals and seems to attract them.
Next to animals, she loves stuffed animals. Thank God she now has a play house, to keep some of them.

Her favorite animal is cats and she can tell you everything you want to know about cats. Just remember don't argue with her about it, because she is probably right, since she reads alot about cats.

She loves to read alot and I think she has her own personal library. I guess that is why she has been able to skip a grade in school.
She also like to dress in dresses now alot. And just to think that 3 years ago, she was such a tomboy, she would not even look at a dress and wanted her hair short.
Nicole is adopted by me and my ex-husband. But even though I did not carry her, I love her with all my heart. She has been mine from day one and will always be mine. Things may not always be easy being a mother, but I am proud of her and love her. I look forward to sharing in her future life.

Becca loves Sports

When I think of Becca, I think of sports. She loves sports of any kind. I don't mean just to watch, she loves to play. She is also good at which every one she is doing at the time.

She started this school year off with volleyball. Even though the team did not win any games, she played her hardest and gave it all she could.
We had fun going to the games and watching her play and help her team in any way that she could. Nicole would sit with her friends to watch the team play.
Becca is my stepdaugher, but like I tell her, I don't like steps. I am so proud of her and love her so very much. I enjoy talking with her and teaching her things about life. I look forward to sharing in her future life. I am proud to have her as my daughter.

Danny: The Man of Our Family

One thing that makes Danny happy, besides family is COWS. We have some show calves that Rebecca shows. He loves working with cows, so at least part of his job, he loves to go to work. He now owns along with his family, the cattle on the Florence Ranch.

I do help him take care of them in any way that I can and I always love being with the cows. We made friends with one of the calves this summer. As she grew, she acted more like a pet than a calf in a field full of cows. She comes up to us and let us pet her all over. I think she thinks she is a dog instead of a calf. She loves to give us kisses (licking us).
She loves for Danny to rub her on her belly. Yes, her belly.

Yes, we are keeping her. She is #1 of our 2009 heifers and sports a cow eartag saying #01. She still comes up to us in the field to get her rub down.
Danny is kind, honest, caring and very hard working. He also loves to cook and do things with family. So when he is not working long hours in the cane fields, he will cook for us. He loves to fry food, barbecue, and boil crawfish. Which our family loves all of them, so we enjoy it when he has time.

Wedding

Aug. 9, 2009: After divorces were final we were finally married. Had a very small wedding ceremony. Our pastor Bro. Billy did the ceremony at our church. Our witnesses were our pastor's wife Mrs. Judy, my cousin/brother Brian. Had our girls Rebecca and Nicole standing there with us. Brian's family was there with us to celebrate.
After the ceremony, we came to our house for coffee. Yes, there was no honeymoon. But then at our age, who needs a honeymoon.
After a few weeks of cleaning Danny's trailer, it was time for the new Pearce family moved into it.
